Most asphalt shingle roofs in Central Florida last about 15 to 20 years before the sun and summer storms wear them out. When yours gets there, we tear off the old shingles down to the deck, replace any soft or rotted plywood, install new underlayment and flashing, and put down a new shingle roof. Nick is on every job, and we clean up nails and debris before we leave.
Look for missing or curling shingles, bare spots where the granules have worn off, granules collecting in your gutters, stains on your ceiling, or shingles that lifted after a storm. One or two of these on a younger roof usually means a repair. Several of them on a roof near 20 years old usually means it is time to replace it. The inspection is free, and we will show you photos of what we find.
Not every problem needs a new roof. We replace damaged and missing shingles, reseal lifted edges, fix leaks around vents, chimneys and skylights, and replace cracked pipe boots. If your roof has good years left, we will tell you so and fix only what is needed.
